Sedation Helps Anxiety

One of the issues we at Lumora deal with daily is dental anxiety. People can have deep-rooted fears of the dentist or general anxiety that makes getting a dental procedure difficult. That’s why we offer sedation for those who need a calm way to get through dental procedures. At Lumora, we have several options of sedation from which to choose.

3 Sedation Options for Patients’ Comfort

Nitrous oxide or laughing gas is a good choice for children or those who need a mild sedative.

IV sedation puts you in a twilight sleep where you remain conscious but relaxed.

Oral medication is available for a deeper relaxation. You take that before you come to the office.

Anyone Can Get Sedation

Anyone who suffers from anxiety, can’t sit still for long periods, has special needs, or must go through a lengthy dental procedure can request sedation. We will go over your medical and dental records to pick the best and safest option. Your vital signs are monitored throughout sedation and we can rouse you immediately if needed. You will need someone to drive you home.
